My Summer Plans

white desk with devices for blog

I'm so happy that we just finished up Round 1 of my Photo Alchemy Classes. It was very intense to do back to back classes (what was I thinking??), but it was also awesome to just go straight through the process. I got great feedback from those of you in the classes and I'm still getting a few email questions, which I'm happy to answer. And the best part is, the classes are now online for anyone to take at their convenience. It's all set up as go at your own pace, so just dive right in when you're ready. Learn more HERE.

This summer, I'm planning on doing a lot of nothing for as much as I can. All the stress of creating the classes and then my other side project, along with the end of middle school really took a toll. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and can have some problems stressing over minor things. I've got to learn to let that go and relax a bit more.

I will continue to move my photos out of iPhoto (teaching and testing software doesn't leave much time to work on my own photos!) and into ScrapRoom. I also plan to digitize my older negatives and have ordered a box from Forever to have this done for me - and all photos saved in my permanent online account. We talked a lot about this in our classes, but if you'd like to learn more about Forever, click HERE

If I can rope my videographer daughter into it, I'd like to make a vlog about my process this summer. I've been approached by several local people about helping them organize their own photos and I'm thinking about offering this service this fall. What do you think? Would you be interested? Email me and let me know what your needs are.

And.....what's that about a BIG announcement? Well, it's not QUITE ready for public knowledge, but I can say that it's something that's been in the works for a while and I can't WAIT to share. Stay tuned.....
